Pentagon Tessellation

The tessellation drew inspiration from Islamic tiling. The challenge lay in using a pentagon as the base, given that regular pentagons do not naturally tile.
During the research, it was found that origami tessellation artist Eric Gjarde had already utilized irregular pentagons to create a seamless tessellation.
The concept of using regular pentagons was to leverage the gaps to enhance the repetitive pattern, resulting in star-shaped gaps.
