About
About me
My name is Ghaith Adib, a passionate and experienced multi-disciplinary designer, based in the beautiful city of Oslo, Norway.
I graduated with honors from Damascus University, Syria in 2010 with a bachelors degree in interior design, where I gained a comprehensive understanding of various design principles and techniques.
"Multidisciplinary"
While my expertise lies primarily in interior and furniture design, I’ve always resisted confining myself to a single design discipline.
Over the years, I’ve ventured into various and sometimes niche areas such as woodworking, origami, and Tech. Defining my professional identity has been challenging, so I embraced the title “Multidisciplinary Designer.”
Furniture
After six years as an interior designer, I transitioned to furniture design, where I honed my attention to detail and ergonomics. This shift allowed me to express my artistic side by treating the design process like creating functional sculptures. I also found joy in prototyping, experimenting with various materials, and collaborating with skilled craftsmen and makers.
Origami
In 2011, my attempt to fold a simple frog led me, through a casual Google search, to the vast world of Origami. I quickly developed a passion for this traditional Japanese art, delving deeper into the hobby with each fold.
I often incorporate origami techniques into other design fields, such as furniture design, industrial design, and packaging.
